Coronovirus is causing lots of drama and angst, isn’t it? Amazing for a tiny organism!
Whilst it can, like all viruses, be life threatening – there are plenty of actions we can ALL take to prevent the ‘flu’. For the vast majority it is more hype than reality though.
Let’s get some facts first..
- Flu will give you differing symptoms – often either more respiratory or more stomach related. The symptoms are many and varied.
- A high temperature, fatigue and lethargy, chills, whole body aches and headaches are the most common
- Cough with or without others respiratory problems – sinusitis, bronchitis or pneumonia, runny nose or sore throat
- Nausea, stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea (often at the same time)
- The common flu kills 60% more people than the Coronvirus – so we ALL need to know how to deal with it.
- Only 2% will die as a result, mostly in those with immune deficiency – where your own body cannot overcome the virus before you overcome it.
- Washing hands properly and carefully and good hygiene (cough into a tissue or your elbow, not into the air) will make the biggest difference to its spread and recovery!

Hopefully you are now MUCH more educated about the FLU, and this has dispelled some myths at the same time.
