New baby checkups are safe, effective and reassuring

Had a new addition to the family recently? Delivery felt traumatic, or went OK, you think?

How do you know all is well?

– baby is breathing, feeding “OK”, wees and poos, cries or sleeps all the time….

What does all this mean?! Good? Bad? Don’t know?

Let Gayle Palmer, the baby osteopath, check, explain and then treat where necessary, to help with optimal comfort, function and good ongoing development. Don’t leave it to chance.

This may sound odd, but babies are designed to survive birth – not necessarily thrive!

That means that they should be able to do various basic things – feed, fart, poo and wee; cry and move a bit – not well though but enough to keep them alive!

As a parent – you want what is BEST for your child (and you).

You don’t want them to be:

  • in pain

  • crying unnecessarily eg when they are hungry or cold – at least not all the time!

  • restless and easy to startle

  • regurgitate their food after every feed

  • sleep for very short durations and wake crying / distressed

  • struggle to defecate or wee

  • be especially listless

These can be just some of the trials that parents regularly struggle with, in addition to totally new routines and experiences / worries.

Birth (and pregnancy) can be difficult for both parties.

Yes, it may take time for things to settle afterwards, but only a few days ideally. If you are experiencing any of the above it is highly advisable to come for an Osteopathic post partum checkup with Baby and Mum – make a double appointment – so that Gayle can advise, understand what has gone awry and treat it as soon as possible.

Then normal, healthy development can continue unchecked or delayed.

Get your fears and concerns answered. Be reassured and have some excellent advice going forward.

Health is NOT an accident – don’t treat it as such. It takes many miracles to have a healthy life – this is the first early step to take.

Place your healing in my hands.
