Types of towels and coverings to bring with you to clinic

Making you as comfortable as possible during your treatment appointment and also being able to move you about on the plinth as you get treated is important to Gayle.

In addition, with the various clinic protocols changing, and to save you money, I have decided to continue to ask you to bring in your own plinth coverings / modesty coverings for each osteopathic appointment.

In this video Gayle explains what the optimum coverings are and why.

As the days draw in, please also note that for many clients, you may require a different type of covering e.g a blanket / rug over you to keep you warm vs an extra towel as a modesty cover.

As the cost of living is markedly increasing, and as I try to maintain costs at a reasonable level, and NOT increase the prices to you my loyal customers, bringing in your own towels etc keeps the laundry / cleaning costs down a lot.

Hygiene factors may not have been a particular consideration pre-Covid, but I am still wiping down the plinth in between clients etc. Therefore bringing in and then taking away potential sources of infection are also an important aspect for this request of you too.

Anyway, I am hoping that this is met with your usual good humour and compliance.

NB Dog blankets and dog towels are NOT acceptable – as they come with plenty of dirt, sand, allergic dog hairs (for many clients) etc. Therefore if you forget your plinth coverings, all I can offer is

  • A Paper towel on top of the plinth or

  • B that you use an item of clothing as a plinth topper so that I can manoeuvre you about easily.

Your health IS my priority, as ever.
